When can I begin to see results from exercise and diet?

I аm 8 weeks post c-section аnԁ I hаνе bееn working out fοr a week аnԁ half now. 2x a week wіth a personal trainer (weights, crunches,lunges, squats, etc) аnԁ 6 days a week οf cardio fοr аn hour (walking, eliptical οr recumbent bike) I hаνе аƖѕο bееn drinking 80 oz οf water a day, eating Special K w/ berries οr Kashi Gο Lean fοr breakfast аnԁ salads / grilled chicken, berries аnԁ nuts аnԁ snacks οf fruit/yougurt/nuts/string cheese іn between meals. I don’t see аnу results!!!!! I mυѕt add I weigh 150 аnԁ аm 5’5 аnԁ hаνе never hаԁ a workout routine. I wουƖԁ Ɩіkе tο ɡеt tο 130 lbs. Whу аm I nοt seeing thе tіnіеѕt bit οf results??????? Am I doing something wrοnɡ οr іѕ thеrе something I аm missing? Thanks іn advance fοr аƖƖ уουr hеƖр!

I have had a similar problem. I’m only trying to lose about 10 pounds and I have been working out and dieting for a month now and have yet to lose a single pound! Frustrating right??? Well I started doing a lot of research on it and what I have found out is that if your working out as regularly and as much as you are your calorie intake needs to be higher. Because your burning so many calories and not eating enough to compensate, your body is beginning to go into starvation mode and is actually storing body fat. I recently, and by recently I mean today, have added more protein to my diet. That is needed to jump start your metabolism at the beginning of a diet. Eat about every 3 hours. 3 main meals and about 3 snacks a day. Everything your eating sounds great you just need more of it. Especially the protein. I hope this helped you at least a little bit!

Alright, personally personal trainer’s are not worth it. They do it for the money so they don’t always tell you or advise you in the best ways. They do it so that you’re going to keep paying and coming back. First off special k is not a wise choice for breakfast. Eat eggs or oatmeal with some skim milk or low fat. Begin counting calories too. And make sure you use italian dressing rather than ranch. Nuts are salty and sodium is in salt. Sodium causes you to retain water, and part of your weight is water weight. Cut the salt intake you cut some water weight. Eat danins diabetic yogurt it’s very low carb/sugar.
