The Weider 200 is available through Amazon, but for $149.00, delivered, Bayou Fitness offers a better deal. The 200 is rugged, solid, and is rated for persons weighing up to 300 lbs, compared to 200-250 lbs. for similarly priced units.
I already own a Weider Max (i.e. Crossbow), which I’m happy with, but I wanted something that would allow me to do pull-ups and the captain’s chair exercise. I hate doing crunches, and a study by the Biomechanics Lab at San Diego State University ranked the captain’s chair as the most effective exercise for working the obliques and second most effective for working the rectus abdominus. The 200 works well for these and related exercises. I don’t use it for pushups, but the awkwardly placed lower crossbar could be a problem.
Time from order to deliver by Fed. Ex. Ground was about 10 days. The instructions are straightforward and assembly took about an hour. As with the Max, the instructions state a rubber mallet and two people are required for assembly. The mallet is unnecessary, and never again mentioned in the instructions, and I had no difficulty assembling it by myself. You will require two wrenches and a screwdriver, however.
Another reviewer commented that it doesn’t take up a lot of space. I suppose the concept of “a lot of space” is relative, but the 200 isn’t something that, like the Max, can be folded up and stored against the wall or in a corner. It’s pretty big, and moving it to a different room will require partial disassembly, so plan on assembling it where you intend to use it.

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RARPUIJ026IBJ This is a detailed video review so you can see this awesome tower while it is assembled. Key points:
* I am 6’4” and weigh 205 lbs.
Definite Pros:
* Great to use with P90X
* Lots of space to do wide, close, and underhand pull ups
* A bar to rest your feet on to make pull ups easier
* Great for push ups because it has built in push up bars
* Great for ab raises with padding for your back
* Great for tricep dips using the extended tricep dip bars
* Slides on the carpet easily if you need to move it
* Platforms to do calf raises on
* Just plain awesome
Potential Cons:
* Comes un-assembled – took about 2 hours to assemble
* I am using it on carpet, which causes slight movement when doing tricep dips
* Minimum ceiling height is about 7 feet 8 inches for setting this thing up
Watch the video and enjoy!

I purchased this tower for my husband who is 6’1″ and 250 lbs. and myself 5’4″ and 125 lbs. and it works great for both of us. It is very sturdy and well built. It is attractive and the price was right. I looked at a few less expensive models and they were garbage. This also has a higher weight capacity of 300 lbs. when most of the others are at 250. I highly recommend!

I purchased the Weider 200 and use it at my work. 15 of us pitched in to pay for it. Now we can do pull ups, dips, leg lifts and over 10 other exercises onsite at work.
It was super easy to assemble and it doen’t take up alot of space
two thumbs up Amazon – thanks

The equipment arrived earlier than the seller stated which was a good thing. Assembly was fairly straight forward, having a good selection of tools in my shop helped speed assembly although you can put it together with their recommended tools it’ll just take a little longer.
The unit is well built and sturdy and is perfect for home use. If you are looking for a gym quality unit this isn’t it but you’re also not paying what you would for gym quality. All in all a good piece of equipment for a good price.
I do have one complaint that really brings the rating down for me and that is customer service by the manufacturer. There was one small piece of hardware that was missing, not a big deal as I had something that would work in my shop. I tried to register the product and kept getting errors. I tried to register from several different computers on several different networks and kept getting the same error. Oh well, so much for registering it for warranty purposes. I sent several emails to explain the registration issues and to ask about the missing hardware. It has been several months now and I still haven’t gotten a response from the manufacturer. I realize that the piece of equipment wasn’t hugely expensive and that the issues are minor but one would think that I would at least have gotten a response. I won’t buy from the manufacturer again.
